BEYOND EARTH

Beyond Earth is an international multidisciplinary artist collective that expands the possibility of art on Earth and beyond. By linking art, space, and biology we build global awareness of our home planet and explore creativity in the far reaches of outer space. We believe that the future of humanity transcends the boundaries of Earth and beyond. Our global initiatives allow individuals, corporations, and organizations to connect and explore together — expanding our notion of space and our mother planet.

Space Art DNA Time Capsule created by the Beyond Earth team serves as the Pioneer Plaque of the 21st Century, featuring crowd-sourced drawings created by individuals from around the world. Artworks represent a visual message to space, reflecting life on Earth and our collective role as Citizens of the Future. This vast collection of drawings is encoded into DNA, nature’s oldest and most resilient storage device. The DNA is encased in a minuscule, lightweight capsule built for spaceflight. Space Art DNA Time Capsule will be launched to Low Earth Orbit aboard a rocket or satellite by 2023. This is our Earth’s record of life to reflect present day and communicate to future generations.
